May is here and so is the countdown!

May is here, so the countdown til we leave for the Spring Quilt Market in Salt Lake City has begun!

We leave Monday week - eekk!  10 days without my babies, 10 days of alone time with Mr FF not to mention fabric, fabric and more fabric!

I think the most exciting thing will be the Sample Spree night where us retailers get to grab (and by the sounds of things, GRAB is the correct word) fabrics not yet released to the market.  This will be a great opportunity to get our hands on fat quarter packs to pass onto our customers, so you will be the first in Australia with the latest and greatest!

We will also be attending some informative classes by designers such as Valori Wells - how exciting is that?  We will get a chance to meet and mingle with most of the well know fabric designers in the US! I will be sure to take lots of pics for you all.

In the meantime, in the countdown to our trip we have some great giveaways.  First one up is a fat quarter pack of the gorgeous new organic fabric Pick A Bunch in the Orchid colourway (as shown above).

To enter simply follow our blog (see side box if you are not already a registered follower) and leave a comment below, letting us know what you would like to make with these gorgeous fabrics.

All winners will be drawn on our return from the US.

Would love to make my baby some new clothes and accessories! Something different to the department stores, adding to the stash is always an option too!!

These prints and colours would look awesome in my daughters newly decorated bedroom...I would turn them into scatter cushions for her bed!

I'm thinking a gorgeous summer dress for myself as I know I'll be another 30kgs lighter by this coming summer. I'd use the large flower print as accent or as the main boddice part of it, it would be a typical halter neck top.
I'd use the other fabrics for some head bands with matching purses for younger girls. I'm starting to make things to sell at market as well as to donate through my charity this Xmas.

You are now following Funky Fabrix

Can't believe I wasn't following you before!

If I won I would make a few bits to make my new house a home. I would have to put a lot of thoughts into it though!

new follower here, love these fabrics, oh the possibilities! after admiring them a great deal I would probably make something for my 2 daughters, cute hair bands for my 16 month old and cute little shoes for my 2 month old.

Kate said...

More twirly skirts! My girls can't stand the fact that they have to go in the wash every now and then so more fabric would mean more skirts and if I 'win' it then I wouldn't be breaking the "no more buying fabric until you use up the stash you already have" rule set by my husband ;)

Mrs Chicken said...

Too funny! have just found this comp, three days after ordering these fabrics from you :) Well, would be great to win some more as I am using the fabrics in my new accessories range, and orders are coming in more regularly now, so will be sure to go through it quickly!

I would love to make a quilt for my niece Matilda who turns 2 in June. Matilda has Global Developmental Delay Syndrome and is not yet able to sit up on her own, she spends a lot of time on the floor. A quilt using these vibrant fabrix would give her a lovely area to play on and lots of lovely patterns to look at.
