Ella Osix & Other Goodies

Another week has zoomed by, with the blink of an eye. We are in the midst of school holidays in Queensland, which for me means I don't get all that much work done!

Lots of new fabrics have arrived in store, and just in time. Our shelves were looking a little empty and on Wednesday were temporarily full. Thanks to all our wonderful customers, gaps are now starting to appear - luckily I have lots more lovelies arriving this week!

Below you will see some of the new lovely Surface Art fabric that has arrived. This fabric is handprinted in Sydney and is a wonderful furnishing weight fabric, and extra wide for all those interior projects. My favourite is the orange one on top of the pile. I am hoping to get a chance to create a large wall art piece for my bedroom over the next week.

Oh before I forget, thank you to our amazing customers who voted for us as Best New Business!

We also received two amazing parcels from Ella Osix from Holland this week. These stunning canvas totes coupled with amazing Scandinavian vintage textiles, arrived wrapped in vintage wallpaper - the parcels were almost too pretty to open.

We have 3 different sizes in the bags, with many amazing vintage fabrics. They are available through our retail store and will also be available online soon. Our new vintage fabric goodies website www.100vintage.com will be open for business in the next few weeks. On this site you will find lots of goodies, all made with genuine vintage fabrics. As well as stocking amazing products from around the world, we will be selling our new line of home decor items - 100% Vintage is busy stitching and sewing children's clothing, cushions, ottomans, purses and more!

Inspirational New Zealand

Just back from a super quick trip to the North Island of New Zealand. We have been to the South Island many times, but this was our first trip to the north.

We visited Wellington and Rotorua, here are some of the images of our trip.

We were lucky enough to visit two hand-made markets and purchase some gorgeous goodies for our store, more on that later!

To the left is a gorgeous little store in Cuba St, Wellington called Iko Iko, full of hand made and imported goodies - spotted a few Aussie items in there too!

We browsed some wonderful second hand book shops, did some cool crafty and fun things at the amazing TePapa Museum, and travelled across some really beautiful countryside.

I even spotted this gorgeous florist also selling handmade goodies from Amy Butler fabric.

Ofcourse the bubbling mud pools were a favourite with our little one, as well as a magnificent volcano covered in snow!
