French Fabric

We have found such beautiful textiles in the Alsace region of France, home of French fabrics.  All the fabrics above are printed in the Alsace region and as you can see red it definately in!  Handprinted hearts on a linen base and featured everywhere here!  Red in my favourite colour, so I am delighted to see so much of it everywhere!

We have giving away two gorgeous Alsace fabric pieces (shown in the bottom photo).  Each piece of French Toile is approx. 30cm x 40cm and is unique to the French Alsace region.

If you would like to win these two lovely pieces please leave a comment on our blog (you must be a follower to enter - you will find the follow box to the side).

We will draw the winner when we return from our European trip at the end of the month.

New Organics Have Arrived!

We are so excited to be offering the second range of Birch organic fabrics.  The first range sold like hotcakes (we have new stock of Circa 50 in store now) and this range is sure to be a hit.

I love the 70s graphic styling on these bold screen printed organic cottons.
They won't last long!

Patty Young Knits Are Here!

We are very excited to have Patty Young's new range of cotton knits in store. I LOVE sewing with knit fabric. In fact, my very first sewing lessons were in knit sewing. Sew easy to use, no overlocking needed and super comfortable to wear.
Knits make perfect ts, shorts and dresses for your little ones, that move with them when they play. The best thing of all, they need very little ironing! Now that is a huge plus.
You will find our new range of cotton knits here

Tufted Tweets

We are so excited to have Laurie Wisbrun's new range Tufted Tweets in store. I have been waiting for this range to arrive, for what seems like, forever! I think it is the Architect in me, but I just love the sleek Architectural lines and the subject matter of this fabric.
Laurie is really an inspiration for aspiring textile designers. Laurie started out printing her own fabrics before designing for Robert Kaufman fabrics. She is even writing a book about textile printing and design.
We have a few prints now available online and the remainder of the collection will be available over the coming week. I hope you all love this range as much as we do.

Introducing Ann Kelle

I have a new favourite designer. I was so excited when I discovered Ann Kelle designed fabrics on the Robert Kaufman website.

My son bought me a gorgeous Ann Kelle journal for Christmas and I have been a fan ever since.

I just love the simplicity of her designs and the use of bright, bold colours. Her fabrics remind me of 1970s Scandivian designed Children's fabrics, for which I have a passion. I have many such fabrics in my vintage collection stash. I am not sure what I will do with them, but I just can't part with them.

You can find our Ann Kelle fabrics here. Many more fabrics will arrive in the next few weeks.

All these beautiful photos are from the Ann Kelle website, and are just as gorgeous as her fabrics!
