Vintage Fabric Lamps

We have had some of our stunning vintage fabrics, made into wonderful lamps.
We are so pleased with the final look.

These are my 2 favourite original 1960s fabrics that we have in stock, and I am in love with these lamps!

They will be available in our retail store from tomorrow. We only have 4 at the moment, but more designs and shapes will be coming!

Apples Fabric - Hoot!

David Walker Oh Boy!!

Here is a sneak peak of the new David Walker Oh Boy! range for Free Spirit Fabrics. We will have these fabrics listed next week and will be in store then too. These are just so cute!
Here is a little about David Walker

After starting his career as an Art Director in Kansas City, Mo, he now lives and works in Chapel Hill, NC where he illustrates a wide array of products including an ever growing list of children's books, greeting cards, and most recently... fabric! David paints his whimsical characters entirely by hand using acrylics on paper, bringing smiles to children and adults alike.

Having grown up hoping he would one day be an artist, the phrase, "be careful what you ask for, you just might get it" applies nicely to his life, and he couldn't be happier about that.

Home from our Holiday

Hadley on the slopes!

We are home from yet another wonderful holiday in my favourite place in the world, New Zealand. We spent an amazing 2 weeks in the South Island, mainly in Queenstown (heaven on earth!). I love holidays - it means I put down my computer for most of the day, and get to spend my days with my favourite people, my husband and my gorgeous children. Here are a few photos of our wonderful time.

Fingers crossed, we are hoping to open a second store in Queenstown next year - still working out the logistics, but hopefully it will all add up and my dream will become a reality! If not, it is always nice to dream.
