Beautiful Retail Displays

They certainly know a thing or two about retail store display in Salzburg, the stores look magical, inviting and warm.

Look out for some changes in our store when we return home!

We particularly loved the Christmas and Easter stores, could have spent hours in there, just looking!

Pretty Salzburg!

We are now onto our second night in the magnificent Salzburg - just too pretty for words. It has been snowing for most of the day. A chilly day out, but Salzburg looked even prettier all dressed in white.

This graveyard is only metres away from where we are staying. It is tucked behind a grand facade in the main street. Most of Mozart's family are buried here, although with all the snow, we didn't manage to find any of them!

This is the view from our balcony this morning at 8am. We are staying in a gorgeous little cobbled stoned street, right in the heart of all the action.

A Quick Trip to Germany

Our few short days in Germany is almost over. Here you can see our hotel which was right near the Frankfurt train station. The station is full of delicious food stands, wonderful bakeries and delightful gift stores.

We had a lovely train journey to the Bavian Forest for New Years, in a lovely little village called
Bayerisch Eisenstein. Cold and rainy but with a little snow left on the ground, we spent the day wondering around, still trying to recover from jet lag.............and yes it is as cold as it looks!

Tonight we popped out for dinner and the cobble stones streets were all lit up with fairy lights and Christmas trees.

Off to Salzburg tomorrow!

Thanks to the lovely girls looking after our store / website whilst we are gone. You have been keeping them very busy! Our store reopens this Monday.

Our holiday!

We have arrived in Seoul and off to Frankfurt this morning. Unforunately we only have half a day here, so we won't be visiting the largest fabric shop in the world! Yes Seoul has the largest fabric shop in the world and we don't get to see it. Seoul produces some gorgeous poplin cottons, so hopefully we will get back again to source some beautiful fabrics.

Very cold here, minus 6 at the moment, and snow everywhere!

The girls are busy in the store today packing orders (in hot humid weather I hear) and they will open the store next Monday 4th.

We have lots of new patterns and fabrics arriving, and hopefully I will get a chance to list a few in the coming days - yes my laptop comes on every holiday!

We hope you all had a wonderful day with your family and friends yesterday. We had a wonderful day with our 4 children and extended family. Boxing Day has been nice and lazy, leading up to a hectic packing day tomorrow, as we are heading off on our family trip on Monday.

Funky Fabrix will be left in very capable hands, so all orders will be sent swifty as per usual!

A Busy Week with New Arrivals!

We have had another super busy week in store and online! We are very much looking forward to our family holiday! The store is still full of lovely gifts for those last minute shoppers like myself.

We are also very excited to have some lovely new fabric collections arrive instore. The beautiful tones of Art Gallery fabrics are now adorning our shelves as well as the funky new collections by Alexander Henry.

We also have many new Kokka of Japan fabrics, which will be up on the website next week. I still have so many fabrics to add to our online store so check back often for lots of new lovlies.

We are also excited to have some reprints of Amy Butlers Lotus collection which will be available in the coming weeks.
